12/31/2023 0 Comments Audacity vs kristal audio engine![]() Now that I look at it, I have way too much stuff.Ĥ x JL Cooper MCS3 (Re-branded Heartlab - OEM)Ģ x Target TTD-200R (for grout and rears) Neither is in the budget right now, though. On my list of "things I want to buy but don't need", is a Maschine, and a kalmiba (can't ever have enough kalimbas! :D) from these guys (). I like SynthMaster as an all-around soft synth. I didn't list free VST instruments, or the synths that come with the listed DAWs (Image-Line's Sytrus is really nice). I'm just glad I didn't get into guitars as I would probably have a dozen or so. Yes, perhaps six is a little over the top, but they are all tuned differently! The ukes are mid-range models, except one of the sopranos that is a $100 entry level one. The kalimbas/karimbas have electric pickups, which is what the guitar amp is for. Three Hugh Tracey karimbas (different tunings: African A, Gmaj, G minor)īb clarinet (that I had for nearly three decades and still can't play) Treble Hugh Tracey kalimba (a pattern emerges) M-Audio Axiom 32 Mini (using this one instead) M-Audio Keystation 49 (too bulky for my purposes) Since I like seeing what folks have, I'll contribute. Flowstone (for graphical programming, to make my own VSTs and VSTis, but it requires A LOT of work) Image-Line VST effects (mostly Maximus, Love Philter, Parametric EQ2 and Delay bank) Image-Line VST synths/samplers (mostly Harmor, Sytrus, DirectWave, Slicex and Drumaxx) 2cAudio Aether VST reverb (best allround VST reverb I have heard) Voxengo VST effects (have all plugins with the "new" GUI) Paid for plugins (in addition to the native plugins that come with the DAWs): A couple of times as ReWire client, but I'm not sure if the benefits exceeds the drawbacks) ![]() Reaper and FL Studio DAWs (After I bought Reaper, I have barely used FL Studio. M-Audio Firewire 1814 audio interface (only use it for ASIO-driver and monitoring) Sennheiser K271 Studio headphones (very detailed and clean sound, but I'm not too happy with the overall frequency balance) Alesis M1 Active Mk2 monitors (I like the sound character, but they lack clarity and precision) I barely record music at the time, but make electronic music. Warwick WCA 411Pro and WCA 115Pro cabinets A lot of effect pedals from EBS and Boss Godin Shifter bass (a little more classic sound ala Fender, my favourite at the moment) Ibanez SR1200E Premium bass (upfront and modern sound) Listerud custom made bass (good allround 5-string) ![]() So I sold everything and did either record/mix music, play bass or even listen to music for two years. But it was too much work, too little fun and too expensive. I mainly used gear from Steinberg, Genelec, Presonus, Focusrite, Sennheiser, Røde, Shure, Universal Audio, dBX and Lexicon. I used to have a decent studio (according to my standards), but sold everything back in 2009. Sorry to make this thread, I just love all things that contribute to people's recording projects :) Pyro Audio Creator (for burning red-book compliant CD's) Native Instruments - Absynth 5, FM8, Massive ![]() Laney LX120 guitar amp with matching cabinetĪKG Perception 120 Condenser Mic (studio) I run that on a Toshiba Satellite Pro with CoreI3 processor, 500gb hard drive with 8gb ram.ĭon't won drums yet but used a 2box electric drumkit to record all my drum tracks for my album. Obviously i use Reaper for my primary DAW, i use Kristal Audio Engine to master. I'll kick this one off like a game of footy. that people use in their recording endeavors. If there is, I do apologize.īut, I love hearing what gear, instruments, technologies, etc. Couldn't find one of these threads myself.
